On 18 October 2025, the Bangla Centre SCIO proudly hosted a successful Consular Service Camp in Glasgow, provided by the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester.

A dedicated team led by Mr Mohammad Jobayed Hosen, Assistant High Commissioner, travelled from Manchester to provide essential consular services for the Bangladeshi community across Scotland.

Throughout the day, the team handled a wide range of consular requests, and a total of 80 applications were accepted. People from across Scotland attended the event, bringing their consular issues and receiving on-the-spot assistance and support.

Attendees expressed their appreciation for the efficiency and hospitality of both the Bangla Centre team and the consular officials. The visiting team from Manchester commended the event’s excellent organisation and coordination, noting that they had “never seen such a well-organised operation”.
