Cordial Call for Community Awareness
Dear BC Members & Friends
Bangla Centre is Fully Devoted to Raise the Profile of Bangladeshi Community in a Multi-Faith, Multi-Racial and Multi-Cultural Scotland VIA advancing social inclusion initiatives and welfare activities.
Sadly, we are passing through an unprecedented Covid-19 Pandemic crisis. In the early frightening phase of Lockdown (April-May), Bangla Centre carried out “Community Resilience Program (CRP)” to enhance the resilience of Bangladeshi community. Together, we have earned huge praises for supporting the Distressed and Disadvantaged Members in the Community, especially Children and Elderly Members living in Greater Glasgow and West of Scotland. Thank you again for your Self-less Hard Work.
There however marks some lockdown-time negative tendencies among individuals in communities, such as drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, marital and religious disorders, We the Bangladeshis in Glasgow are an enlightened rich cultural community. Our Members are mostly professional and emerging entrepreneurs; young people are heavily engaged in leisure and sports activities. In terms of religious practice, we are Decent People, dominantly Muslims and small other Faith Members. We are indeed a small Moderate Muslim Community with no past record of Religious Disorder or BadName.
For the sake of Citizens safety, peace and security during the on-going Lockdown, Government institutions and agencies are obviously active and watchful over communities.
We draw attention of the BC Member(s) and individual(s) in the Community to be caring during the Lockdown-time outdoor shopping, walking at parks, attending gyms and sports, visiting places of worship and prayers.
Please comply fully with Government Health Guidance and Lockdown Instructions. We need to be mutually respectful and helpful so that we stay credible and strong.
Pray for Your Happiness and Well-Being.
